Ferdinands lead hundreds at third edition of ‘One Body Co. Together’ Wellness

Dubai: In a powerful display of the diversity that encompasses community spirit and a growing global focus on holistic health in Dubai, the third edition of “One Body Co. Together” evoked an amazing response at the Dubai Hills Mall on Sunday morning.
“One Body Co. Together” is the wellness initiative founded by Kate Ferdinand and her legendary England and Manchester United footballer husband Rio Ferdinand, in close partnership and association with the Dubai Sports Council.
Ferdinand is one of the most decorated English footballers of all time having worn the national colours on 81 occasions. He moved to Dubai with his wife and children, he says that Dubai has become his "home" and that he feels "loved" and very welcome in the emirate.
On Sunday, more than 300 persons from across all walks of life landed up at the Dubai Hills Mall in the presence of H.E. Khalfan Belhoul serves as the Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council. was thrilled to join such an amazing gathering of participants representing the true diversity of Dubai at the high-energy workout.
Rio Ferdinand’s presence was more than welcome as it underscored the support of global sporting icons for initiatives like this one that seeks to bridge the gap between physical activity and mental resilience in a diverse community in Dubai.
Designed to combat the pressures of modern living and the rising tide of professional burnout, the initiative expands on Kate Ferdinand’s well-established wellness platform. By partnering with her husband, Rio, the project has evolved into a large-scale community movement aimed at making fitness inclusive and accessible to all, especially in a place like Dubai which targets a niche yet diverse market.
“Today’s incredible turnout proves how much people need to disconnect from the frantic pace of modern life,” Kate Ferdinand remarked.
“This wasn’t just a workout; it was a vital space for connection. It reinforces our belief that mental and physical recovery begins with movement and human interaction. It shows us what exactly humanity needs,” she added.
England and Manchester United football legend Rio Ferdinand admitted that the initiative is already yielding transformative results. “We live in an era dominated by sedentary routines and high-pressure environments that drain our energy. Seeing so many people show up at dawn to prioritize their health confirms our mission: consistent movement is the most powerful tool we have to reclaim our balance,” he noted.
The partnership with the Dubai Sports Council aligns with the emirate’s “Sport for All” strategy. Essa Sharif, Director of the Sports Events Department at the Council, praised the impact of such an activity. “The community engagement we witnessed today is a testament to Dubai’s vision of integrating physical activity into everyday life. We are proud to support an inclusive platform that motivates every individual, regardless of their fitness level,” he said.
