Dubai: Dubai Police participated in the Data Innovation Summit 2025, which began last Wednesday in Stockholm, Sweden, showcasing advancements in data-driven security strategies and artificial intelligence applications.
H.E Major General Khaled Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police, emphasized that this participation underscores Force’s ongoing commitment to excellence in artificial intelligence and data analysis. He noted that the insights shared at the summit reflect the advanced stage Dubai Police has reached in leveraging data to enhance decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and boost security readiness.
He added, "We believe that investing in analytical infrastructure and nurturing national cadres is crucial for creating a smart organization capable of effectively anticipating and addressing security challenges. Our involvement in global events like the Data Innovation Summit reinforces our dedication to knowledge sharing and strengthens our position as a leading security entity in adopting smart solutions."
During the event, Captain Mohammed Salah Naqi, Head of the Data Analysis Section at Dubai Police, delivered a presentation titled ‘From Building to Enabling’. In this presentation, he shared Dubai Police's experience in developing a data-driven hybrid business model that enhances decision-making flexibility, reduces operational costs, and facilitates comprehensive institutional transformation.
Naqi explained that the analytical model adopted by Dubai Police empowers departments to develop their own internal analytical dashboards. “This independence in data analysis has decreased reliance on external services, significantly improved institutional performance, and resulted in substantial financial savings,” Naqi added.
Furthermore, he indicated that the new model is not just about technical improvements; it also emphasizes strengthening unified governance and applying best practices in managing the quality of analytical outputs. “This approach has aligned the operational vision across different departments and enhanced overall efficiency. Additionally, the model has fostered a culture of data-driven decision-making at all levels of operations, contributing to a 10% achievement of strategic growth goals through realistic and measurable performance indicators, Naqi continued.
At the end of the presentation, Naqi noted that this hybrid analytical model has become a key pillar in supporting Dubai Police's digital transformation strategy by equipping security leaders with access to accurate, transparent, and intelligent analyses, which boosts security readiness, advances the institution's maturity in utilizing cutting-edge technologies, and aids in anticipating future security challenges based on data and intelligence.
