Dubai Police\'s \'Positive Spirit\' Organises Indoor Football Championship for Private Schools
Dubai: As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting youth engagement and community well-being, the Positive Spirit Council at Dubai Police, in collaboration with Al Barsha Police Station, the Dubai Sports Council, and Dubai National School – Al Barsha branch, organised an Indoor Football Championship for Private Schools. 
 
The tournament featured teams from 12 schools, divided into two age categories: 2007 and 2009.
 
The event was attended by esteemed guests including Mr. Abdul Rahman Marwan Al Ghurair, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Dubai National Schools; Mr. Osama Ajoul, General Manager; Ms. Suad Abu Harb, Principal of Dubai National School – Al Barsha; Ms. Fatima Bouhjair, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council; and Mr. Ali Omar, representing the Dubai Sports Council.
 
Tournament Results and Honours
In the 2007 age category,
1st place went to Dubai National School – Al Barsha
2nd place was claimed by Al Arqam Private School
3rd place went to the International Academic School
 
Individual awards included:
Top Scorer: Zaid Idris
Best Goalkeeper: Muhammad Al Bastaki
Best Player: Hamza Bouhallouf
 
In the 2009 age category,
1st place was secured by the Hemaya School, affiliated with Dubai Police
2nd place went to the International School of Sciences
3rd place to Dubai National School – Al Barsha
 
Individual awards for this category included:
Top Scorer: Ahmad Tarek
Best Goalkeeper: Ahmad Al Mahna
Best Player: Moamen Abdel Halim
 
Additionally, Al Ahliya Charity School received the Positive Spirit Cup for the 2009 category, while Dubai National School – Al Tawar branch earned the same honour for the 2007 category.
 
Empowering Youth through Awareness
Beyond the competition, the event also featured educational sessions organised by the General Department of Criminal Investigation, the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, and the General Department of Traffic. These sessions covered topics including cybercrime, online blackmail, the dangers of drug abuse, and the consequences of reckless driving, aiming to equip students with life-saving awareness and decision-making skills.
