148 Participants in the Dubai Police ‘Innovation and R&D’ Diploma Program

Dubai: Colonel Abdullah Jasem Al Zarouni, Director of Knowledge, Innovation, and Development at the General Department of Administrative Affairs, announced that the ‘Innovation, Research, and Development’ diploma program has welcomed 148 participants since its launch in 2020 through 2025. This total comprised 60 women and 88 men, all with bachelor’s or master’s degrees.

Col. Al Zarouni highlighted that this diploma is a testament to Dubai Police's leadership commitment to advancing educational and training programs. “These initiatives are designed to enhance personnel capabilities in anticipating future challenges and fostering innovative solutions, ensuring the sustainability of the police and security system across various specialized sectors within Dubai Police.

He stated, “We take pride in the remarkable outcomes achieved by the ‘Innovation, Research, and Development’ diploma program over its six years since inception. This program is a cornerstone of our strategy to cultivate qualified personnel who can adapt to the rapid changes in the world. The efforts invested in this program reflect our commitment to excellence and leadership in all areas of police work. We strive to create an inspiring environment fostering creativity and innovation, ensuring ongoing development and progress.”

Col. Al Zarouni also highlighted that the diploma has resulted in developing 22 innovative concepts, underscoring the participants’ creativity and initiative. These concepts substantially contribute to the Dubai Police’s objective of fostering institutional innovation and adapting the police and security framework to meet future requirements. He added, “The diploma goes beyond merely providing participants with essential skills and knowledge; it helps cultivate a generation capable of shaping the future and offering innovative solutions to the challenges facing police work. It serves as a platform for inspiration and creativity, allowing participants to transform their ideas into projects that support police work and enhance community safety and security.”
