Dubai: Union Minister of Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Jyotiraditya Scindia, held a key bilateral meeting with Masashi Adachi, Japan’s State Minister of Internal Affairs and Communication, on the sidelines of the Universal Postal Congress in Dubai.

The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in postal innovation, digital services, and technological collaboration between India Post and Japan Post. Both leaders emphasized the need to leverage cutting-edge technologies to modernize postal services, strengthen cross-border digital solutions, and promote greater efficiency in last-mile delivery.

Minister Scindia highlighted India Post’s rapid digital transformation and its role in financial inclusion through innovative services, while Minister Adachi expressed Japan’s commitment to advancing digital collaboration in the global postal ecosystem.

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their intent to chart a future roadmap for joint initiatives that would strengthen postal networks, improve customer-centric services, and foster innovation-driven growth in the sector.
