Dubai Police Launches the 6th Edition of the ‘Innovation, R&D’ Diploma

Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad, Assistant Commandant for Administrative Affairs at Dubai Police, attended the launch ceremony of the sixth edition of the ‘Innovation, Research, and Development’ diploma. The program is organized by the Innovation Council in cooperation with the General Department of Administrative Affairs, the General Department of Training, the Global Institute of Innovation (GIMI), and the SIA Partners.
The sixth edition of the diploma, which will last for six months, includes 22 employees from various police sectors. Its objective is to equip participants with skills in applied scientific research methodologies and to develop innovative solutions that address current challenges while anticipating future ones. This initiative aligns with Dubai Police's strategic goals of enhancing innovation capabilities and fostering a safe and resilient city.
The diploma also aims to enhance participants' skills in institutional innovation, research, and development, while introducing innovative methods and approaches that can be effectively applied in police work. This initiative ultimately contributes to improved performance and the advancement of security services.
The event was attended by Brigadier Mansour Al Qargawi, Director of the General Department of Administrative Affairs; his deputy, Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Al Janahi; Colonel Abdullah Jassim Al Zarouni, Director of the Knowledge, Innovation, and Development Department; and Colonel Suleiman Al Ameri, Director of the Program Design and Development Department at the General Department of Training.
During the event, Lt. Gen. Saleh Abdullah Murad remarked, "Today, we are launching the sixth edition of the Innovation, Research, and Development diploma, which reaffirms Dubai Police's commitment to developing human capabilities that can transform ideas into impactful initiatives and results."
He continued, "This diploma has evolved beyond a training program; it has become an accredited pathway for innovation within Dubai Police. Today, we welcome a new cohort that will join the previous 148 graduates from various sectors, all of whom have significantly contributed to enhancing the innovation ecosystem and developing projects that have transitioned from training rooms to the real world."
Murad further added, "We are also witness today the launch of the Knowledge Management course, aimed at all knowledge project teams within Dubai Police. This course is designed to establish a clear operational framework for identifying knowledge gaps, acquiring new insights, and leveraging knowledge assets to drive continuous improvement."
At the end of the event, He stated, "We are proud of you and the remarkable level of awareness this institution has achieved in linking training to outcomes, innovation to practice, and knowledge to performance enhancement. We fully support these programs and are confident that what lies ahead will be even more impactful and significant." He also praised the efforts of the General Department of Administrative Affairs, the General Department of Training, the Innovation Council, and everyone involved in the preparation and organization of the diploma.
