Dubai: As part of their ongoing efforts to enhance security and community awareness, the General Department of Criminal Investigation at Dubai Police, represented by the Crime Prevention and Wanted Persons Departments, organized an awareness forum for the Chinese community at the Dubai Police Officers Club, in collaboration with the Security Awareness Department of the General Department of Community Happiness.

The forum was attended by His Excellency Major General Eid Mohammed Thani Harib, Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation; Her Excellency Ou Boqian, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Dubai and Northern Emirates; Mr. Xian Yi, Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Dubai; Brigadier Tariq Hilal Al Suwaidi, Assistant Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation for Operations Affairs; and Dr. Abdul Rahman Sharaf Al Maamari, Director of the Hemaya International Center; along with several officers and officials; and approximately 140 members of the Chinese community.

During the event, Maj. Gen. Eid Mohammed Harib emphasized the importance of continuous communication between Dubai Police and the diverse communities in the emirate, which strengthens community cooperation. He stated, "The organization of this awareness forum for the Chinese community reflects the Dubai Police's commitment to a comprehensive security approach. This initiative not only addresses security concerns but also aims to build partnerships with various communities, regardless of their cultural and ethnic backgrounds."

He further stressed that raising awareness and knowledge is crucial for crime prevention, noting that empowering communities with information about police services and local laws directly contributes to fostering a stable and secure environment for all.

Meanwhile, Ms. Ou Boqian expressed her sincere gratitude to Dubai Police for their ongoing efforts to educate the Chinese community about security, traffic, and available services. She commended the leadership's commitment to fostering communication and building bridges of understanding with various communities, reflecting the UAE's spirit of coexistence and tolerance.

The forum featured a series of awareness lectures that addressed various topics, such as fraud crimes and prevention methods, counterfeit goods and intellectual property rights, and the dangers of drug use. Additionally, it raised awareness of Dubai Police's security services, covering smart police stations, communication channels for victims, and the volunteer platform. Participants learned how to connect with security authorities and report violations or crimes through official channels, including the Dubai Police app, the e-Crime platform, the 901 call center, and the 'Police Eye' service.
