Sharjah: The annual Sharjah Light Festival has once again transformed the city of Sharjah into a vibrant canvas of colour, sound, and storytelling, with illuminated landmarks, synchronised music, and artistic projections celebrating culture and innovation.

A key highlight of the 2026 edition is the newly introduced Light Village, a lively destination designed especially for families. Located next to University City Hall and open until February 22, the village offers restaurants, retail outlets, entertainment shows, interactive experiences, and striking light installations, making it an ideal place for visitors to relax before or after the main festival displays.

The village features more than 50 local food and beverage concepts and around 25 retail outlets showcasing emerging entrepreneurs alongside established national brands, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and support for the local economy.

Families can also enjoy dedicated children’s play zones, creative workshops, and interactive light-themed activities, ensuring an engaging and educational experience for younger visitors. With growing visitor numbers and increasing international media attention each year, the Sharjah Light Festival continues to strengthen its position as one of the region’s most anticipated cultural events.
