Dubai: Dubai Police have concluded the 2026 Al Quoz Community Forum, organised as part of a series of Ramadan community gatherings for residents from various nationalities. The initiative aims to strengthen community engagement, promote tolerance and coexistence, and reinforce the concept of neighbourhood safety.
The forum was organised by Dubai Police’s Positive Spirit initiative in cooperation with Bur Dubai Police Station and Al Quoz Police Point.
The closing ceremony was attended by Brigadier Khalifa Al Awadhi, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station, Major Faisal Al Sayegh, Head of Al Quoz Police Point, and Fatima Bohjair, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council, alongside several officers and a large number of community members.
Brigadier Al Awadhi emphasised that the forum reflects Dubai Police’s vision of strengthening community communication and promoting values of tolerance and positivity among all segments of society, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, which brings people together in an atmosphere of goodwill and solidarity.
Fatima Bohjair highlighted that the forum aligns with the Positive Spirit Council’s efforts to promote community values and quality of life while reinforcing neighbourhood safety. She noted that Ramadan community initiatives serve as an important platform for direct engagement with residents from diverse nationalities and cultures.
The event featured a variety of sporting and community activities, most notably a football tournament in which Al Quoz Team secured first place, followed by Wall Street Team in second place.
Individual awards were also presented, with Mohammad Ibrahim winning the Top Scorer title, Mohammad Mustafa receiving the Best Player award, and Abdulrahman Abbas named Best Goalkeeper. The tournament matches were officiated by referees Abdul Sattar Al Jasmi and Khaled Jashouh, who managed the games with professionalism.
In the tug of war competition, a team from the Egyptian community claimed first place, followed by a team representing the Pakistani community in second place.
The forum also included awareness lectures, cultural competitions, and recreational activities designed to engage different segments of the community while promoting the values of positivity, cooperation, and prevention awareness.
At the conclusion of the event, Brigadier Al Awadhi honoured the competition winners and recognised strategic partners, including Dubai Municipality, Dubai Media Incorporated, and the Dubai Sports Council, for their support in making the forum a success.
