Dubai Police Strengthen Financial Sustainability with Strategic Planning and Governance Framework

Dubai: His Excellency Dr Major General Ahmad Zaal Bin Krishan Almuhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Financial and Administrative Affairs at Dubai Police, chaired the second meeting of the Financial Sustainability Council, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to enhancing financial efficiency, governance, and long-term sustainability.
Held in the presence of council members, the meeting reviewed key outcomes from the previous session and assessed the performance of the financial administration for 2025. Discussions focused on expenditure rationalisation indicators, prudent spending practices, and strategic financial planning aligned with Dubai Police’s vision to optimise government spending and strengthen institutional sustainability.
The council also examined overarching policies and directives related to financial sustainability, alongside governance frameworks for expenditure. Future plans to rationalise spending for the period 2025 to 2033 were presented, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and reinforcing financial readiness for the years ahead.
Participants reviewed implemented initiatives and programmes aimed at cost efficiency, highlighting measurable achievements in 2025. The meeting further explored revenue development plans within the approved budget, supporting diversification of income streams and reinforcing institutional resilience.
Key areas such as financial oversight, compliance, project governance, and digital financial transformation were also addressed, recognising their role in enhancing transparency, efficiency, and streamlined processes.
Major General Almuhairi stressed that financial sustainability is a strategic necessity in light of rapid global changes. He noted that Dubai Police view it as a fundamental pillar supporting security and safety, while ensuring the continued delivery of proactive, high-quality policing services that meet community expectations and align with international best practices.
He added that achieving financial sustainability requires an integrated system encompassing strategic planning, efficient resource management, a culture of responsible spending, and innovative business models that drive revenue growth and diversification.
Almuhairi highlighted the organisation’s notable progress in financial governance, compliance, project management, and digital transformation, attributing these achievements to strong institutional coordination across departments.
He concluded by emphasising the importance of teamwork, innovation in resource management, and continued development of impactful initiatives that enhance Dubai Police’s competitiveness and leadership both locally and globally.
At the close of the meeting, Major General Almuhairi expressed appreciation to the General Department of Finance, the General Department of Logistic Support, and all working teams for their efforts and contributions to advancing financial and operational efficiency.
