Dubai: As part of its continued efforts to support family stability and enhance psychological and social wellbeing, the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has

launched a digital awareness campaign across its official social media platforms,
delivering purposeful and practical content that responds to community needs and
contributes to strengthening emotional balance while fostering a more reassuring and
stable family environment.

This initiative reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to developing modern
awareness tools that address the realities of daily family life, offering meaningful
messages that raise public awareness and equip individuals with practical ways to
respond positively to various challenges and pressures.

The campaign highlighted the role of mothers as a cornerstone of family stability and a
source of emotional and psychological security within the home, particularly during
exceptional periods that require a greater balance between daily responsibilities and
family care. It also emphasized the importance of self-care as an essential part of
sustaining one’s ability to give and continue.

The digital campaign featured a series of awareness messages addressing several
important themes, including the impact of excessive news consumption on mental
health, the value of taking short breaks to restore calmness, ways to manage remote
learning, energy management amid multiple responsibilities, as well as simple practices
that help reduce daily stress and improve the quality of interaction within the family.
In parallel with the campaign, the Foundation released “The Mother in Exceptional
Times: Between Containment and Balance”, a comprehensive awareness guide
designed to help mothers better understand their roles during stressful periods,
recognize the impact of their emotional and psychological presence on their children’s
wellbeing, and adopt practical strategies that support realistic and flexible balance within
the family.

The guide also includes a range of simplified psychological tools, such as the “Circle of
Control” exercise to redirect focus toward what can be controlled, the “Pause Before
Reacting” skill to reduce impulsive responses, as well as journaling and distraction
techniques that help mothers manage emotions and daily pressures with calmness and
awareness.

H.E. Sheikha Saeed Al Mansoori, Acting Director General of Dubai Foundation for
Women and Children, affirmed that family stability forms the solid foundation for thriving

and cohesive societies, and that empowering mothers psychologically and intellectually
represents a strategic long-term investment, given their essential role in creating family
balance, instilling reassurance in children, and reinforcing stability within the home. She
noted that this aligns with the objectives of the UAE Year of Family and the Dubai Social
Agenda 33, both of which place the family at the heart of sustainable development and
quality of life.

Her Excellency added: “At the Foundation, we believe that empowering mothers with
awareness and practical tools is an investment in the entire family. From this standpoint,
we remain committed to launching impactful initiatives that reflect reality, anticipate
community needs, and keep pace with change through innovative and effective
approaches that enhance quality of life, reinforce social stability, and build a more
connected and resilient society.”

The Foundation confirmed that these awareness initiatives are an extension of its
humanitarian and developmental mission, in alignment with national visions aimed at
building a more aware, cohesive, and prosperous society in which the family remains
the center of development and the foundation of the future.
