Dubai Police Commander-in-Chief Inspects Workflow at Al Muraqqabat Police Station

Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander‑in‑Chief of Dubai Police, inspected Al Muraqqabat Police Station as part of the annual inspection programme for general departments and police stations. The inspection aimed to review operational and service performance indicators, assess readiness levels, and enhance the quality of police services provided to the public.
He was accompanied by His Excellency Major General Hareb Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander‑in‑Chief for Criminal Affairs; His Excellency Major General Eid Mohammed Thani, Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation; Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Department of Police Stations; Brigadier Rashid Saleh Al Shehhi, Deputy Director of the General Department of Bur Dubai Police Stations Affairs; Brigadier Sultan Al Owais, Deputy Director of the General Department of Deira Police Stations Affairs; Brigadier Saeed Al Madhani, Deputy Director of the General Department of Specialised Police Stations; Brigadier Dr. Ibrahim bin Sebaa, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering; Brigadier Ahmed Al Muhairi, Director of the Inspection and Control Department; Brigadier Issa Ahmed Salem, Director of Al Muraqqabat Police Station; Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Rahim, Head of the Inspection Section; and a number of officers .
During the inspection, H.E. Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri reviewed the station's strategic and operational performance indicators, security readiness levels, and mechanisms for handling reports. He also examined the results of inspection points and transactions received during 2025, as well as key achievements and developmental initiatives that contributed to improving work efficiency and achieving institutional goals.
The station presented its response time for very urgent reports, achieving 1 minute and 38 seconds, significantly surpassing the target of 2 minutes and 45 seconds, reflecting the efficiency of field teams and the effectiveness of the security response system.
The meeting also featured the results of transactions and criminal complaints recorded during 2025. The Station achieved a 98.9% sense of safety, 98.2% confidence in nearby police services, and 97.6% sense of safety when walking at night, while security coverage reached 100%, reflecting the success of security plans and field deployment within the station's jurisdiction.
Notable Achievements
Al Marri was also briefed on the Station's notable achievements, including winning the Best Comprehensive Police Station Award for 2025, the Best Customer Happiness Station Award, and the Distinguished Security Patrol Award . The tation also achieved first place in volunteer hours for Category E, along with registering 19 intellectual classifications and implementing 68 suggestions that supported institutional development and security services .
Jurisdiction
During the inspection, an overview of the Station's jurisdiction was presented. Al Muraqqabat Police Station is one of the oldest police stations in Dubai, established on 26 March 1974. It has been developed in phases to keep pace with the emirate's urban renaissance and smart transformation, becoming a smart police station in 2019. In 2023, it became the first service centre in Dubai to achieve a six‑star rating .
The Station covers a jurisdiction area of 36.5 square kilometres within Deira, serving over 835,000 residents across 12 vital areas. These include main roads, Dubai Metro stations, as well as a large number of vital institutions, embassies, and commercial and service establishments.
The Commander-in Chief affirmed that the results achieved reflect the sincere efforts of the Station's personnel and their commitment to enhancing security and safety. He stressed the importance of continuing to develop the security and service work system, enhancing integration among specialised teams, and working as one team to achieve Dubai Police's strategic directions and reinforce its global leadership position .
At the end of the inspection, Al Marri extended his thanks to the officers, non‑commissioned officers, personnel, and employees of the station, commending their field and security efforts. He called on them to continue working with the same positive spirit and to maintain the highest levels of readiness and efficiency in serving the community and safeguarding its security and stability.
