Dubai: His Excellency Major General Hareb Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander‑in‑Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Affairs, honoured the field teams of the General Department of Traffic in the areas of enforcement, awareness, and technology, in recognition of their dedication to work and their efforts in enhancing security and safety in the emirate.

The ceremony took place at the Dubai Police Officers' Club, in the presence of Brigadier Juma bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic; his deputy, Brigadier Essam Al Awar; directors of sub‑departments; officers; and non‑commissioned officers.

Maj. Gen. Al Shamsi commended the significant role played by the field teams across various specialisations, contributing to achieving Dubai Police's strategic goals, enhancing security and safety, and bringing happiness to community members through the services provided to them. He noted that they are the beating heart of the security and mobility system, which has contributed to maintaining smooth traffic flow and rapid response to reports. “Their dedication has directly contributed to reducing accidents and enhancing discipline on the emirate's roads,” he added.

Maj. Gen. Al Shamsi stated that the recognition came in appreciation of their efforts in enhancing security and safety and their dedication to work, through their commitment to responsibility towards community members by serving them and enhancing their sense of safety. He urged those honoured to continue their effort and dedication, and to excel in performing their duties, affirming that this recognition is part of Dubai Police's commitment to motivating and appreciating the efforts of its personnel working to enhance security and safety and bring happiness to the community.

At the end of the ceremony, Maj. Gen. Al Shamsi thanked those honoured for their excellence in performing their duties, affirming that Dubai Police's distinction is a result of its distinguished employees and their dedication and loyalty to their work. He wished them continued success.
