Dubai: The General Department of Administrative Affairs at Dubai Police, represented by the Knowledge, Innovation, and Development Department, organised a specialised workshop on the Knowledge and Innovation Projects Programme at the R&D Hall. The workshop was attended by 103 officers and employees from various general departments and police stations.

The workshop is part of Dubai Police's ongoing efforts to reinforce a culture of institutional innovation and empower competencies to develop innovative and knowledge-driven projects that support future foresight and contribute to enhancing Dubai Police's leadership and institutional excellence at local and global levels.

The main lecture at the workshop was delivered by Captain Khalid Hassan Miftah, Head of Knowledge Operations at the Knowledge, Innovation, and Development Department; Captain Ahmed Youssef Al Aleeli, Head of Innovation Labs; and First Lieutenant Juma Ibrahim. They presented key themes highlighting the culture of knowledge and innovation projects, mechanisms for disseminating and implementing them across various general departments, identifying areas for administrative and operational improvement and developing innovative solutions, evaluation and incentive criteria, as well as clarifying the terms and approved foundations for upcoming knowledge and innovation projects.

The workshop also included the launch of the Innovation Projects Challenge 2026, aimed at motivating Dubai Police personnel to develop innovative solutions that contribute to raising institutional performance efficiency and enhancing service quality. The workshop also reviewed the participation mechanism, project submission steps through the Initiatives and Projects Management Platform, and the evaluation methodology based on innovation, impact, sustainability, and applicability.
