Dubai Police Listen, Engage and Improve Services at Fourth Community Forum

Dubai: Dubai Police, represented by Jebel Ali Police Station, organised the fourth Community Engagement Forum as part of the ‘Your Voice is Heard’ initiative, bringing together citizens, residents and strategic partners from the station’s jurisdiction to strengthen direct communication and encourage public participation in sharing feedback and suggestions to further enhance policing and community services.

The forum was held at the Millennium Hotel in Dubai Investments Park and was attended by Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Department of Police Stations, Brigadier Salah Bu Assibah, Director of the General Department of Correctional and Penal Institutions, Brigadier Dr Tamim Mohammad Mohsen Al Haj, Director of the Six Sigma Centre at the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering, Colonel Jamal Ibrahim, Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ahmad Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Jebel Ali Police Station, representatives of places of worship from various faiths across the Jebel Ali area, corporate partners, residents and a number of police officers.

Strengthening Community Dialogue
Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi affirmed that the Community Engagement Forum reflects Dubai Police’s continued commitment to organising similar gatherings across the emirate to strengthen communication with strategic partners and local communities, listen to their views and suggestions, and identify opportunities that support the force’s mission of reinforcing safety, security and happiness across society.

He added that the forum also serves to raise awareness of Dubai Police’s efforts, smart services and specialised initiatives available through its various digital platforms, making it easier for the public to access a wide range of services.

Stronger Partnerships
Colonel Jamal Ibrahim highlighted the importance of such forums as an effective communication channel between government entities and members of the public who benefit from public services. He noted that Dubai Police’s role extends beyond policing and security to maintaining continuous coordination with government entities to deliver services that enhance the quality of life in Dubai.

He thanked all participants for attending the forum, describing the event as a practical reflection of Dubai Police’s commitment to engaging with as many members of the community as possible through the ‘Your Voice is Heard’ initiative. He explained that the initiative not only provides a platform for gathering feedback and suggestions, but also raises awareness of Dubai Police services, strengthens communication channels and contributes to continuously improving services in line with the highest international standards and best practices.

Community Services and Open Discussion
The forum featured presentations on several Dubai Police initiatives designed to strengthen community engagement, along with an overview of community and security services available through police stations, the official website and the smart app.

Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi and Colonel Jamal Ibrahim also held an interactive discussion with attendees, listening to their opinions, suggestions and enquiries. Participants praised Dubai Police’s efforts to strengthen community engagement, stressing the importance of such forums in fostering cooperation between the police and the community while facilitating access to high quality services.

Honouring Partners
At the conclusion of the forum, Brigadier Majid Al Suwaidi and Colonel Jamal Ibrahim honoured Jebel Ali Police Station’s partners and participants in recognition of their contributions, expressing their appreciation for the continued cooperation and wishing them ongoing success across future joint initiatives.
