Dubai: The Positive Spirit Council at Dubai Police organised sports tournaments in cooperation with Dubai Sports World 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This initiative is in line with Dubai Police's strategic goals of bringing happiness to the community, enhancing safety and security, improving quality of life, promoting social harmony, and strengthening the values of tolerance, coexistence, and respect for others.

The sports tournaments included a basketball tournament with 90 players, a pickleball tournament with 104 players, and a badminton tournament with 64 players, totalling 258 participants from various nationalities.

Ms. Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council, affirmed that the sports tournaments coincide with the summer holidays, investing free time in positive activities. She noted that participants were also educated on how to contact Dubai Police – calling 999 for emergencies and 901 for non‑emergency cases – and were introduced to Dubai Police's various services aimed at enhancing safety and security and bringing happiness to community members. “Awareness sessions also covered electronic fraud crimes and traffic safety laws and regulations in force in the country,” she added.
