Indian Embassy Announces Walk-in Services for Select Consular, Passport, Visa and Attestation Applicants in UAE

Abu Dhabi: The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has announced walk-in services for eligible applicants seeking Indian consular, passport, visa and attestation services across the UAE.

The initiative has been introduced to streamline the application submission process for passport services and ensure efficient public service delivery.

Under the new arrangement, walk-in services will be available from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at all 16 Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) operated by outsourced service provider Al Hind Tours & Travels.

Who can avail walk-in services?

Walk-in appointments will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for the following categories:

  • Applicants seeking Tatkal passports
  • Newborn passport cases
  • Applicants requiring an Emergency Certificate (EC)
  • Senior citizens aged 60 years and above
  • People of Determination

Online appointments also available

The Embassy clarified that applicants belonging to these categories can also book appointments in advance through the official appointment portal.

Applicants with prior appointments, including those eligible for walk-in services, will be attended to according to their scheduled appointment slots. Walk-in applicants, meanwhile, will be served based on the availability of slots at the respective centres.

To avoid long waiting times, eligible applicants have been advised to book an online appointment in advance whenever possible.

The Embassy said the new arrangement is aimed at making passport and consular services more accessible and convenient for applicants across the UAE, particularly senior citizens, newborn cases, emergency certificate applicants and People of Determination.
