On this occasion, His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, said: "This year, we celebrate Emirati Women's Day under the theme ‘We Emerge Stronger and Better’. We recall together the pioneering and exceptional role of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the ‘Mother of the Nation’, in the journey of empowering Emirati women since the founding of the General Women's Union. Her Highness's forward-looking and ambitious vision placed Emirati women at the forefront, providing them with all the enablers of empowerment and leadership, so that today they have become a global model of giving and achievement, and an essential partner in the nation's renaissance and development."
Al Marri added: "Emirati women would not have reached this level of success without the supportive efforts and full care of the Mother of the Nation’, who played a key role in the care and attention they have received, providing them with all enablers in education, training, and economic, social, and political empowerment — making them true partners in sustainable development and a strong support to their fellow citizens in carrying the nation's message."
The Commander-in-Chief further stated that Emirati women are no longer content with merely participating in the development journey, but have become leaders in many vital sectors, after the wise leadership provided them with an integrated environment that allowed them to confidently advance towards horizons of leadership, innovation, and achievement. He noted that the impactful presence Emirati women have achieved at local, regional, and international levels is the fruit of a forward-looking vision and a long-term national investment in people, making them a global model of competence and excellence, and active partners in shaping the future and enhancing the nation's competitiveness.
Al Marri affirmed Dubai Police's commitment to being at the forefront of institutions that embody the wise leadership's directives on women's empowerment, by supporting female personnel and highlighting their roles across various specialisations within the police and security sector. He noted the success and excellence of female personnel in Dubai Police in specialised roles, most notably in forensic science, forensic medicine, technical engineering, traffic, investigations, and public order maintenance. He wished all Emirati women continued success and further achievements in the journey of nation-building.
