Sharjah: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, said: "With the start of the academic year, we open a new chapter of ambition with our children, welcoming a stage where hopes are renewed and our shared responsibility is amplified to ensure that their journey towards knowledge is a safe one, surrounded by care, protected by awareness, and supported by a genuine partnership between the family, the school, and the community."

Safety beyond the school gate
Bin Amer added, "The safety of our children doesn't begin at the school gate, nor does it end with the school day. Rather, it's an ongoing responsibility that starts at home, accompanies the student on their journey, is reflected in their behavior at school, and extends into the digital world, which has become an integral part of their lives. From this perspective, the Sharjah Police General Command views the security of the educational environment holistically, combining field preparedness, prevention, and awareness, and placing the safety and well-being of students at the heart of its security operations."

Sharjah Police strengthens school safety
The Sharjah Police Chief continued, "With the start of the new academic year 2026-2027, Sharjah Police, in cooperation with its partners, continues its efforts to enhance traffic safety around schools, raise awareness of safe practices, and address behaviors that may threaten student safety, both in the real world and in the digital realm. This stems from our belief that prevention begins with awareness, and that building an informed individual is one of the most important pillars of a safe society."

Message to students, teachers and parents
He said: “My dear students, every morning you are not just heading to your classrooms, but taking a new step towards your future and the future of your nation. Let respect for order, commitment to responsible behavior, and maintaining your safety and the safety of your classmates be values that accompany you throughout your educational journey. For knowledge builds minds, values protect its impact, and awareness cultivates the ability to bear responsibility. To the teachers, parents, and guardians, we appreciate your mission and your pivotal role in protecting and guiding our children. We affirm that the partnership between security institutions, families, and schools represents the first line of defense in facing challenges and creating a learning environment where students feel safe, confident, and a sense of belonging.”

Building a safe and aware future
He concluded his speech by saying: “Let us make the road to school a safe path, the school a space for knowledge and values, and the home a partner in creating awareness. We ask God Almighty to make the new academic year a year full of knowledge and achievement, to protect our sons and daughters, to guide their steps, and to perpetuate the blessings of security, safety, stability, and prosperity upon the United Arab Emirates under our wise leadership.
