Dubai: Dubai Police has completed 104 strategic and operational technology projects over the past year and deployed 36 RPA robots across a range of tasks and administrative operations, as the force continues to expand the role of artificial intelligence across policing and public services.

The achievements were reviewed by Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, during his annual inspection of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, where he examined performance indicators, operational readiness and major technology projects supporting the future of policing in Dubai.

104 Projects Supporting Smarter Policing

Lieutenant General Al Marri reviewed key statistics and performance indicators from the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, including achievements in digital transformation and the development of smart systems and services.

The Department completed 104 strategic and operational projects during the past year, reflecting Dubai Police’s continued efforts to use modern technology and AI to support different policing sectors and enhance operational efficiency.

36 Robots Reducing Routine Work

The inspection also highlighted Dubai Police’s robotics ecosystem, which currently includes 36 robots performing a range of tasks and administrative operations.
Their deployment is helping accelerate procedures, increase productivity and reduce routine workloads, allowing personnel to focus more closely on specialised tasks that deliver greater added value.

99.97% Public Service Continuity

Dubai Police also recorded high levels of digital reliability during the current year.
The continuity rate for public services reached 99.97%, while the continuity of systems reached 99.92%. The figures reflect the readiness of Dubai Police’s technological infrastructure and its ability to maintain critical services in line with high standards of reliability and quality.

Expanding AI Across Police Operations

Lieutenant General Al Marri reviewed Dubai Police’s AI transformation plan, which includes initiatives designed to expand the use of artificial intelligence across police, administrative and operational activities.
The plan focuses on transforming data into tools that support decision making, while developing proactive solutions that improve response times, performance efficiency and service quality.
He was also briefed on the Dubai Police AI platform, which provides technological capabilities to support the working environment, develop smart solutions, analyse data, automate procedures and provide intelligent tools for employees and customers.

Smarter Police Stations

Another project reviewed during the inspection was the smart assistant for Smart Police Stations (SPS). The project supports Dubai Police’s vision for the next generation of police stations by using smart technologies to make security and policing services easier, faster and more flexible.
It also contributes to improving customer experience and facilitating access to services through an integrated system operating around the clock.

Innovation and Intellectual Property

The General Department of Artificial Intelligence also presented its achievements in innovation and intellectual property. Its projects and initiatives have received seven awards and certificates of recognition, while 29 intellectual works have been registered. The achievements reflect Dubai Police’s efforts to protect the outcomes of innovation and encourage its specialists to develop technological ideas and solutions that can be practically implemented and sustained.

Technology and Human Expertise

Lieutenant General Al Marri stressed the importance of continuing to develop Dubai Police’s AI ecosystem and introducing modern technologies across police, administrative and operational functions to achieve greater efficiency, speed and accuracy.

He said rapid technological development requires continued investment not only in innovation, but also in specialised human talent. He highlighted the importance of bringing advanced technology and human expertise together and creating a flexible working environment capable of benefiting from the latest digital solutions.

Lieutenant General Al Marri also stressed the importance of strengthening readiness and business continuity and continuously improving systems and services to ensure they remain seamless, secure and efficient.

He thanked employees of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence for their efforts and achievements in supporting Dubai Police’s digital transformation and developing its policing ecosystem.

He called on teams to continue developing innovative initiatives and projects and expand the application of AI across operations, with the goal of improving institutional performance and delivering increasingly advanced services that reflect Dubai’s global standing and meet the expectations of its residents and visitors.
