Sharjah: The Sharjah Planning and Survey Department (SPSD) took part in the AIM Investment Summit 2026, held in Dubai from 7 to 9 September, as part of its efforts to support the emirate's investment climate and strengthen the pillars of sustainable development. The department joined the Sharjah Government platform, in cooperation with Invest in Sharjah—the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office under the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq)—alongside a number of the emirate's economic and investment government bodies.

Al Shamsi tours the Sharjah Government platform
Engineer Hamad Jumaa Al Shamsi, a member of the Sharjah Executive Council and Head of the Sharjah Planning and Survey Department, visited the Sharjah Government platform during the summit. The platform brought together pavilions from several government, economic and investment entities, including the Planning and Survey Department, the Economic Development Department, BEE'AH, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Ruwad), the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park, Invest in Sharjah, and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

A field tour of investment opportunities
During a field tour of the platform, Al Shamsi reviewed the leading initiatives, services and investment opportunities presented by the participating entities, along with projects and solutions aimed at supporting investors and developing the business environment. He stressed the importance of integrating the roles of government, economic and investment bodies in strengthening the emirate's readiness and the sustainability of its growth.

Department showcases land investment services
Through its own presence within the Sharjah Government pavilion, the department's Government Land Investment team presented the services and facilities it offers investors, along with the investment opportunities available on government land and the mechanisms for making use of them in line with development needs. The team also explained the procedures for studying opportunities and identifying suitable land uses, as well as the coordination mechanisms with relevant bodies to prepare sites and raise their readiness for project implementation.
