Dubai Police Executive Leadership Reviews AI Plans and Institutional Performance

Dubai: His Excellency Dr Major General Ahmad Zaal Bin Krishan Almheiri, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Financial and Administrative Affairs at Dubai Police, chaired the fourth Executive Leadership Meeting of 2026 at the Dubai Police Officers Club.
The meeting was attended by Major General Harib Mohammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Commander in Chief for Criminal Affairs, Assistant Commanders-in-Chief, directors of general departments and police stations, and a number of senior officers.
Enhancing Institutional Performance
The meeting discussed a number of strategic topics aimed at enhancing institutional performance and accelerating the adoption of modern technologies across different areas of police work, in line with the Dubai Government’s vision to establish a more efficient, proactive and future ready government model.
The leadership reviewed the operational plan for artificial intelligence agents and mechanisms for using them to support operations, develop services and improve performance efficiency.
The meeting also reviewed implementation results related to the guide for complaints and criminal reports, including achievement indicators and levels of compliance with approved plans.
Reviewing Projects and Initiatives
Attendees were briefed on Dubai Police’s key initiatives and projects during the first half of 2026, as well as the results achieved by general departments and police stations in implementing development programmes and projects.
These efforts support the strategic objectives of the Dubai Police and reinforce its leadership in security and policing.
Accelerating AI Adoption
Major General Dr Almheiri stressed the importance of continuing to accelerate the transition towards artificial intelligence and expanding its use across different operations and services.
He commended general departments and police stations for adopting smart solutions and developing working methods that achieve the highest levels of efficiency and quality.
“The next phase requires continuous development and improvement, stronger integration across different sectors, and working as one team in line with the directives of our leadership,” he said.
He added that these efforts contribute to achieving Dubai’s ambitious objectives and reinforcing its position as a leading city in innovation and quality of life.
Serving People Remains the Priority
Major General Dr Almheiri emphasised that serving people and enhancing their security, happiness and quality of life remain at the heart of police work and a permanent priority.
He stressed the importance of continuing to develop proactive services and harnessing technology, data and artificial intelligence to provide a faster, more efficient and flexible security and service experience.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Major General Dr Almheiri directed teams to continue monitoring performance indicators, projects and initiatives according to approved timelines, while strengthening the exchange of expertise and best practices between sectors and departments.
He said this approach would help sustain results and support further achievements in the coming period.
