Dubai: The Dubai Fountain has resumed its performances with an adjusted presentation following a temporary pause announced after Dubai entered an official mourning period over the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

An Emaar spokesperson confirmed that the fountain shows are currently being presented at a lower volume, with a reduced soundtrack, in line with the solemnity of the mourning period.

“The Dubai Fountain was paused following the announcement of official mourning in Dubai for the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It has now resumed with an adjusted presentation that reflects the solemnity of the ongoing mourning period,” Emaar said in a statement.

Dubai declared an official 10-day mourning period beginning Monday, September 21, following the passing of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. During the mourning period, flags are being flown at half-mast across the emirate.

The adjusted Dubai Fountain presentation will continue until the end of the mourning period, reflecting the official atmosphere of remembrance across Dubai.
