Dubai: As part of its commitment to enhancing employee happiness, Dubai Police General Command, represented by the General Department of Community Happiness, has granted 62 male and female employees from various police sectors the opportunity to perform Umrah as part of its 23rd annual delegation, arranged and sponsored by the force.

The six-day trip departed from Dubai International Airport yesterday, Wednesday. Among those present to see off the pilgrims were Colonel Bishr Saeed Al Muhairi, Director of the Security Awareness Department at the General Department of Community Happiness; Captain Ahmed Khalifa Al Mazrouei, Head of the Islamic Affairs and Tolerance Section at the Security Awareness Department; and a number of officers from the General Department of Airport Security.

Col. Bishr Al Muhairi affirmed that the Umrah journey comes in accordance with the directives of His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, reflecting the force's ongoing commitment to humanitarian initiatives that enhance happiness and quality of life. He noted that this initiative is one of several noble initiatives offered by Dubai Police to bring happiness to its employees, with a tangible impact on their values and behaviour.

For his part, Captain Ahmed Khalifa Al Mazrouei affirmed that the Umrah journey is one of Dubai Police’s initiatives to reward employees for their efforts and enhance their happiness by giving them the opportunity to perform this great act of worship. He urged the pilgrims to uphold good conduct, comply with all laws, and cooperate constructively with the administrative delegation accompanying them to assist them in performing their rituals. He also noted that the pilgrims will perform Umrah in Makkah and visit Madinah.

For their part, the employees expressed their deep happiness and gratitude to Dubai Police for granting them this precious opportunity to perform Umrah.
