Abu Dhabi: A teacher has been sentenced to two years' imprisonment by the Abu Dhabi Criminal Court for assaulting four students. After serving his sentence, the teacher will be deported from the UAE and must also pay the court fees, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department said.
The attack occurred in a classroom at a private school in Abu Dhabi, and the students' injuries stopped them from carrying out their daily activities for as long as 20 days.

The court convicted the defendant on the basis of his confession, which he had given during the investigations and before the court, admitting that he had assaulted the students in order to stop them from causing a disturbance in class and to punish them.
