Dubai: For a second day, Dubai Police continued its participation at AccessAbilities Expo 2026, in its eighth edition, which kicked off at the Dubai World Trade Centre and runs until tomorrow, Wednesday. The stand continued to showcase its services and smart technical solutions to the public, including the "Our Touch Creates Art" initiative, the "Himmah X" smart bag, the "Little Translator" initiative, the "Determination Challenge" game, and Esaad card services. The "Himmah X" bag is equipped with assistive technologies for people of determination within the "Ferrari Mansory" patrol.

"Our Touch Creates Art"

The "Our Touch Creates Art" initiative, organised by the Positive Spirit Council in cooperation with the People of Determination Empowerment Council at Dubai Police, offered an interactive artistic and craft experience in which people of determination, children and adults, engaged in painting and handicrafts, embodying their abilities, skills and creative potential.

The initiative stands out by giving the public the chance to watch artistic and craft works take shape in real time, as participating people of petermination transform their ideas and talents into tangible works before visitors. This reflects their artistic skills, creative sense and ability to produce and innovate, challenging the stereotypes associated with disability.

The initiative gives visitors a distinctive humanitarian and interactive experience, not limited to viewing artworks after completion, but allowing them to follow the journey of creativity from its beginning until the work is finished, and to get closely acquainted with the talents of people of determination from various age groups. This enhances society's appreciation of their potential and affirms that talent and creativity are not linked to age or determined by disability.

Buhajeer: We Allow the Public to Watch Creativity Live

Ms. Fatima Ahmed Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council and member of the People of Determination Empowerment Council at Dubai Police, affirmed that the "Our Touch Creates Art" initiative represents a practical model for community empowerment, providing an interactive space that allows people of determination from various age groups to showcase their artistic and craft talents and abilities before the public.

She said: "What distinguishes the 'Our Touch Creates Art' initiative is that we go beyond displaying artistic and craft works completed in advance by people of determination. Rather, we let exhibition visitors watch creativity unfold before their eyes, at the hands of children and adults from among people of determination, so that they may witness the skills, abilities, and potential they possess, all of which deserve appreciation and support. We are not presenting mere artworks, but living stories of will, talent, and self-confidence."

Buhajeer added that true empowerment is achieved by giving people of determination the opportunity to prove their abilities themselves. She noted that watching participants complete their artistic and craft works helps strengthen their confidence in their talents and reinforces a more aware and positive societal view of their potential and abilities.

She explained that the initiative carries a humanitarian and community message affirming that different abilities do not limit aspirations, and that supporting the creative talents of people of determination is an important path towards enhancing their independence and active participation in society.

Buhajeer Stated: "We were keen for the initiative to include children and adults, because we believe that talent has no age, and that every person of determination deserves a real opportunity to create, excel, and leave their mark. Through the cooperation of the Positive Spirit Council with the People of Determination Empowerment Council, we seek to transform community initiatives into effective platforms for discovering energies, developing talents, and enhancing the sense of pride of people of determination in their achievements."

She affirmed that the "Our Touch Creates Art" initiative embodies the theme of Dubai Police's participation this year, "Limitless Abilities… Aspirations Shape the Future”, noting that every artistic or craft work completed by a person of determination before the public carries a message affirming that creativity knows no impossible, and that an inclusive society is one that gives everyone the opportunity to show their best.
