Dubai Police organise ‘Tourism Security Awareness’ Lecture for Hospitality Professionals

Dubai: The Tourism Police Department of the General Department of Criminal Investigations organized a lecture entitled "Tourism Security Awareness" at the Manaco Hotel in the Cote d'Azur Resort in the World Islands region. The lecture benefited 45 employees working in the tourism sector.

The lecture focused on several important topics, including methods of communicating with the police in emergency situations or normal circumstances through the call centre number 901, hotel registration procedures, common reports, security and public safety measures, first aid, and other essential security and awareness information.

The Department of Criminal Investigation participated in the lecture through four sub-departments, namely the Tourism Police Department, the Electronic Investigation Department, the Criminal and Administrative Investigation Department, and the Found and Lost Department. Additionally, the General Department of Operations contributed through the call centre 901, and the General Department for Anti-Narcotics through its Hemaya International Centre. Furthermore, the General Department of Organisations Protective Security and Emergency took part in the lecture through the Departments of Explosives.

The Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Civil Defence, and the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services also participated through providing various educational information. The lecture was an outstanding success and received positive feedback from the attendees.

The Tourism Police Department expressed its gratitude to all the departments that participated and provided support, highlighting their commitment to enhancing the security and safety of tourists in the emirate.
