Sharjah: The Sharjah Police General Command (SPGC) continues the activities of the “Be Aware” awareness campaign launched by the Departments of Media, Public Relations and Criminal Investigations. Through broadcasting informational messages to community members via "cinema screens,", in cooperation with “Fox Cinema”, the concerned authorities aim to raise public awareness about the risks associated with playing electronic games as well as the crimes of fraud and electronic blackmail that kids may be subjected toز

The campaign contains a set of security recommendations and awareness tips targeting all segments of society, introducing them to the crimes of fraud and cyber blackmail, underscoring its serious consequences on lives and property. It also includes a short film to educate the children about the risks of using electronic games.

Commenting on this, Muhammad Butti Al Hajri, Deputy Director of the Department of Media and Public Relations stressed that Sharjah Police is keen to enhance the quality of security life for community members, fostering the security culture. He lauded the cooperation with “Fox Cinema”, reflecting the social responsibility in supporting the efforts of Sharjah Police to enhance security and stability.

Sharjah Police calls on community members to be careful not to succumb to any threat or blackmail from trolls and fraudsters, stressing the importance of prompt reporting through the guard service via the Sharjah Police website http://www.shjpolice.gov.ae, or by calling the numbers “0559992158” or “065943228” or by calling the number /999/ designated for emergency cases.
