Dubai: Dubai Police, represented by the Positive Spirit Council and Al Muraqqabat Police Station, has launched weekly events and awareness lectures at the 'Night Market' on the sidelines of the Dubai Shopping Festival. 

These sessions and activities, held every Saturday for the Filipino community, are part of the Force's ongoing efforts to familiarise the public with the provided digital, criminal, and traffic services and the available communication channels. 

The event was attended by H.E. Marford Angeles, Consul General at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai; H.E. Jim Jimeno, Vice Consul at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai; Brigadier Abdul Rahman Sharaf Al Maamari, Director of Hemaya International Center; and Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Sultan Faiz Al Shamsi, Acting Deputy Director of Al Muraqqabat Police Station, and Ms. Fatima Buhajeer, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council and Head of the Cultural Diversity Section in the Security Awareness Department of the General Department of Community Happiness, along with representatives from EYEJAMP Events Management FZE LLC.

The events featured awareness campaigns on human rights, the dangers of drugs, and traffic safety laws, along with information about Dubai Police's digital services available through their smart app and website. She noted that the events also included lectures on the proper use of Dubai Police's contact numbers, advising the public to use 999 for emergencies only and 901 for general inquiries and feedback. Additionally, participants received information about the e-Crime service for reporting cybercrimes and the Police Eye service. Moreover, the activities included fun and sports competitions, such as tug-of-war and basketball, a free drawing session for children, and traditional games for the Filipino community.
