Dubai Police Handles Over 260,000 Calls in the First Half of Ramadan

Dubai: The Dubai Police Command and Control Centre, along with the 901 Call Centre, successfully handled 264,069 calls during the first half of Ramadan. Of these, 220,897 calls were made to the emergency number (999), while 43,172 calls were received on the non-emergency number (901).

Commitment to Rapid Response

Colonel Bilal Jumaa Al Tayer, Director of the Command and Control Centre at the General Department of Operations, praised the efforts of call centre staff for their professionalism and prompt responses to inquiries. This is in line with Dubai Police’s commitment to ensuring security, safety, and public satisfaction.

He urged the public to only use 999 for emergencies, while directing non-urgent inquiries and requests for Dubai Police services to 901.

Expanding Digital Communication

Major Jassim Al Hosani, Acting Director of the Customer Happiness Centre at the General Department of Administrative Affairs, revealed that during the first half of Ramadan, the 901 Call Centre also received:
• 43,173 calls on 901
• 8,993 emails
• 4,549 live chat requests through the Dubai Police website

He highlighted that the email and live chat services provide instant responses to public inquiries and suggestions and are managed by specialist call centre staff.
