Abu Dhabi: Arijit Singh's highly-anticipated concert at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi has been postponed, his team confirmed to Khaleej Times on Thursday morning. The show was originally scheduled for Friday.

"Due to the current critical situation in India, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Arijit Singh live concert in Abu Dhabi, originally scheduled for May 9, 2025, at Etihad Arena, Yas Island," the statement read.

"We appreciate your patience, support, and understanding during this challenging time," the team added.

Singh's representatives said they are working with the venue to secure a new date, which will be announced soon. "All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date, or you may opt for a full refund," they said
The concert, which was sold out with tickets priced up to Dh5,500, promised a night of melody and emotions.

Fans from both India and Pakistan, who were planning to attend, expressed their disappointment over the cancellation.

Saneela Khan from Mumbai, who had flown to Dubai to meet her cousin and attend the concert, said she was heartbroken. "I planned my entire trip around this concert. I’ve been waiting to see Arijit live. It’s disappointing, but I understand it’s beyond anyone’s control," she told Khaleej Times.

A Pakistani expat based in Sharjah echoed the sentiment. "I bought tickets the day they went on sale. I hope things settle down and he can perform here soon," he said.

Earlier, Singh cancelled his April 27 concert in Chennai in solidarity with the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.
