Dubai Police Participates in 'Zayed Ambassadors for Tolerance' Initiative

Dubai: In line with its ongoing commitment to promoting tolerance and fostering strong partnerships with educational and community institutions, and in conjunction with the “Year of the Community”, Dubai Police, represented by the Positive Spirit and Safety Ambassadors Councils, took part in the closing ceremony of the “Zayed Ambassadors for Tolerance” initiative.
The event was organised by the Zayed Educational Complex in Al Mizhar and witnessed notable attendance from officials and the community, reflecting the shared responsibility of supporting students and society.
The ceremony was attended by Major Saleh Abdullah Ahmad from the Dubai Police Academy; Ms Muna Al Harmoudi, Head of Academic Affairs; Ms Zahra Ibrahim Al Balushi; Mr Mohannad Samir Moqdadi from the supervisory team; First Lieutenant Mariam Abdullah; First Lieutenant Amina Al Mazrouei; and Mahra Al Hashemi. Also present were representatives from the Positive Spirit Council and active participants, including Ms Fatima Al Hammadi and volunteers from the “Geniuses Team”, in affirmation of Dubai Police’s support for national and educational values.
Ms. Fatima Buhjair, Head of the Positive Spirit Council, stated that the council is dedicated to supporting community, sports, and awareness initiatives that align with its mission to promote values of tolerance, giving, dialogue, happiness, safety, and quality of life, while strengthening the connection between Dubai Police and society.
Teacher Mariam Mohammed gave a speech affirming that the initiative embodied noble human values and instilled concepts of coexistence and tolerance among students. “We witnessed the initiative’s impact in raising awareness and strengthening students’ sense of cooperation and social responsibility. Planting these values in young minds is fundamental to building a cohesive, safe, and thriving society. We extend our gratitude to Dubai Police and all who contributed to the success of this meaningful national effort.”
During the ceremony, students from the second and third educational cycles showcased their experiences as tolerance ambassadors within the school. Dubai Police, represented by Dubai Police Academy, also delivered an awareness lecture titled “The Role of Police in the Year of the Community,” where Major Saleh Abdullah Ahmad highlighted the force’s role in promoting a culture of tolerance, enhancing intellectual security, and building bridges with the educational sector.
The event featured an engaging segment with Safety Ambassador Ammar Al Marzouqi, alongside a documentary film highlighting the initiative’s achievements, including the Tolerance Theatre, the “Say No to Bullying” competition, motivational cards, and student meetings.
After the event, Dubai Police and partnering entities honoured the Zayed Ambassadors for Tolerance, as well as teachers, administrators, and volunteers, in appreciation of their efforts in spreading a culture of tolerance and promoting positive behaviour in both school and community settings.
