Dubai: In conjunction with the Year of Community and the celebration of Father's Day, the Dubai Police Positive Spirit Council and the Cultural Diversity Section at the General Department of Community Happiness, have organized a special event for over 800 labourers at the Dulsco Sports Complex.

The event, carried out in cooperation with strategic partners, aimed to honor their essential contributions to community building and recognize the father as a symbol of unwavering dedication.

Ms. Fatima Buhajeet, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council and Head of the Cultural Diversity Section, expressed, "On Father's Day and in line with the Year of Community, we chose to celebrate with the workers who play an integral role in our development. Many are separated from their families and children, embodying the spirit of giving and selflessness that defines a true father. In gratitude for their efforts, we are committed to celebrating with them at various local and international events, fostering communication, promoting a culture of appreciation, and instilling values of tolerance and respect.”

The celebration included a variety of cultural competitions, sports activities, and awareness lectures aimed at promoting values of tolerance and community connection, while highlighting the dedicated efforts of individuals who show patience and sacrifice far from their homeland.

The event also featured the "Your Commitment is Happiness" initiative, discussions on labourers' rights, and awareness sessions focused on the dangers of drugs, cyber extortion, victim support, and traffic safety rules. Participants were reminded of the importance of calling 999 for emergencies and 901 for general inquiries. They were also informed about the Dubai Police services available on the website and mobile app.

Furthermore, labourers participated in a yoga session to enhance their mental health and were entertained by the Dubai Police musical band performance and showcases of luxury patrols.

The lectures were delivered by First Lieutenant Thabit Al Ketbi, First Lieutenant Mohammed Al Muhairi, First Lieutenant Hamid Al Rashidi, Seargent Omar Aflatoun, First Corporal Ahmed Salem, Seargent Nasser Al Balushi, and civilian Ahmed Single.
