Taking place on Wednesday, October 8th, guests are invited to embark on an extraordinary culinary journey celebrating France’s rarest treasures, guided by Bhatia Dheeraj, Head of Wines at Riviera. The evening features a specially curated five-course menu presenting delicacies such as Mushroom tartlet with mornay sauce; Cured seabass tartare with plum and lemon dressing and Lamb cutlet with artichoke flower and coq au vin hibiscus jus amongst others, where each dish is thoughtfully paired with an exceptional bottle of wine sourced from small, independent producers and hand-selected by Bhatia for their quality, character and rarity. 
 
Priced at AED 950 per person, this intimate tasting experience is ideal for wine enthusiasts and aspiring sommeliers alike to indulge, discover and deepen their appreciation for France’s hidden gems.

Nestled within The Lana’s stunning lobby lounge, where art meets culinary finesse and English traditions are celebrated in style, The Gallery presents an elegant afternoon tea inspired by the timeless charm of classic British literature. The Tea and Tales Afternoon Tea invites guests on a whimsical journey that blends storytelling with gastronomic artistry, offering a truly immersive dining experience. 
Drawing inspiration from iconic works of British literature, the menu showcases a curated selection of sweet and savoury delights, thoughtfully paired with premium teas and sparkling wines to enhance every flavour. Diners can look forward to exquisite creations such as Macbeth’s Blood-Red tartlet, a signature raspberry tart with vibrant red filling; Dorian Gray’s decadent cucumber sandwich, a refined cucumber and cream cheese finger sandwich topped with fresh dill and lemon zest; or Sherlock’s smoked clues, a sophisticated smoked salmon and Manuka honey sandwich.

OLD FASHIONED MONTH
This October, The Lana raises a toast to the Old Fashioned, a classic cocktail loved by everyone around the world. Throughout the month, each of the hotel’s bar and restaurants will serve up their own unique twist on the whiskey-based cocktail, offering guests an opportunity to enjoy the beverage in new and exciting ways. 
At Riviera, guests can take their pick from either a Black Forest Old Fashioned made with bourbon, brandy, rum, dark cherry syrup and bitters; The Elysian Fields which seamlessly marries bourbon, elderflower, absinthe and Demerara syrup; or Whisperwood which has fruity notes with the addition of lychee, dry vermouth and elderflower. Meanwhile at Jara by Martín Berasategui, guests can enjoy the tongue-tingling spice of The Picante shaken with bird eye chilli or savour the complex, saline notes of an Oyster Old Fashioned which is a harmonious blend of rye, oyster and nori along with bitters and Demerara syrup.
At High Society located on the topmost floor of The Lana, Dorchester Collection, guests can watch the sun play peek-a-boo as it sets over the city’s high-rises with a glass of Makoche, God’s Country or El Indio described by the bartenders as “dark as vengeance, hot as gunfire”, featuring Mezcal, Michter’s American US*1, Chipotle syrups and chocolate bitters. Finally, at Bitter Honey, celebrate Old Fashioned Month with one-of-a-kind cocktails such as The American Tailor, The Whispers of New Orleans or The Desert Standard curated with a date infused syrup stirred with chocolate and orange bitters and bourbon.
