UAE: The Consulate General of India in Dubai has announced the launch of the new Passport Seva Programme (PSP 2.0), which will handle all passport-related services starting Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Under this upgraded system, applicants will receive e-passports embedded with electronic chips, ensuring greater security and faster processing at immigration checkpoints. The new initiative also removes additional fees for minor corrections and introduces a smoother, more transparent, and user-friendly experience.

Key Features of PSP 2.0

• E-passports with electronic chips: Contain digitized data of the holder for quicker, more secure immigration checks.
• Online uploads: Applicants can now upload ICAO-compliant photos, signatures, and documents directly to the portal, significantly reducing waiting times at BLS Centres.
• Free corrections: Minor edits can be made at BLS Centres without retyping the entire form or paying extra fees.
• Enhanced convenience: Faster, more transparent, and user-friendly processing for Indian citizens living abroad.
• The consulate has encouraged applicants to review the ICAO photograph guidelines before uploading their images to ensure compliance.

How to Apply

1. Register on the new PSP 2.0 portal and create an account.

2. Log in and complete the online application form.

3. Submit the form online, print it, and book an appointment through the BLS International website.

4. Visit your designated BLS Centre with the printed form and supporting documents.
