Hyderabad: Global technology leader Sundeep Kumar Makthala, recently honoured with the prestigious Palace-Endorsed UAE Golden Visa, arrived in Hyderabad today to a grand, heartfelt welcome at the Hyderabad International Airport, where an energetic flashmob and well-wishers celebrated his return with warmth and pride. Immediately after landing, Makthala paid a courtesy visit to IT and Industries Minister D.Sridhar Babu at the Minister’s Quarters, accompanied by his wife Smt. Bhagya Lakshmi.

Makthala’s choice to meet the Minister as his first stop in India was a gesture of gratitude, acknowledging the encouragement and support he has consistently received from the Telangana Government.

A proud son of Telangana, Makthala played an active role during the Telangana movement, contributing significantly through technology-driven volunteer coordination and youth mobilisation. His long-standing commitment to the region continues today through global partnerships, investment pathways, and innovation diplomacy.

During the meeting, he assured the Minister of his complete support in strengthening global ties, attracting investments, empowering startups, and building a robust Telangana–UAE bridge for trade, technology, talent, and industry. He expressed that the UAE’s rare recognition has deepened his resolve to contribute even more to the state’s growth.

Minister Sridhar Babu appreciated Makthala’s dedication, global influence, and continued service to Telangana, highlighting that leaders who elevate the state’s identity on international platforms bring pride and opportunity back to the region. He welcomed Makthala’s commitment to support Telangana’s vision in emerging technologies, industrial expansion, and global collaborations.

Makthala, who represents 2,843 companies across 63 countries as Chairman of WTITC, reaffirmed that his UAE honour is a “responsibility to strengthen global connections for the state and the country.”
