The UAE Journalists Association and the UAE Researchers Center sign a MOU to enhance joint cooperation

Dubai: A delegation from the UAE Researchers Center for Research and Studies visited the headquarters of the UAE Journalists Association in Dubai, as part of efforts to enhance mutual cooperation and exchange expertise in research, knowledge, and media fields.
The delegation took an introductory tour of the association's building, during which they familiarized themselves with its facilities and various departments, learned about the media and professional activities organized by the association throughout the year, and visited the Media Innovation Center, the Training Center, and the association's theater, which accommodates 100 people.
During the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two parties, aiming to support media studies and research, organize training programs and specialized workshops, in addition to exchanging knowledge content, which contributes to the development of professional performance and the enhancement of research work related to journalism and media.
The memorandum was signed by Fadila Al-Muaini, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Journalists Association, and Dr. Fawaz Habal, Secretary-General and Member of the Board of Trustees at the UAE Researchers Center for Research and Studies.
Fadila Al-Muaini said, "The signing of this memorandum comes from the association's keenness to expand its partnerships with national research centers," emphasizing that cooperation with the UAE Researchers Center for Research and Studies enhances the association's direction toward integrating journalistic work with scientific research.
She pointed out that the agreement also constitutes a qualitative addition that contributes to linking journalistic work with scientific research and enhancing the knowledge content that serves the media and society.
She added that the association pays special attention to partnerships that support capacity building and the development of research and analytical skills for journalists, keeping pace with the rapid changes in the media landscape and enhancing the role of journalism in serving national development issues.
For his part, Dr. Fawaz Habal expressed his appreciation, along with the accompanying delegation, for the warm reception, affirming their eagerness to activate the terms of the memorandum of understanding in a way that achieves common goals and opens new horizons for future cooperation.
He said, "We view this partnership as a strategic step toward utilizing scientific research in the service of journalism, and enhancing the production of substantial knowledge content based on studies and scientific analysis."
At the end of the visit, both parties emphasized the importance of continuing communication and joint coordination, ensuring the activation of the memorandum of understanding's provisions and achieving its goals, and enhancing institutional cooperation to serve the development of media and scientific research in the United Arab Emirates.
