Abu Dhabi: Yusuffali M.A., Chairman of Lulu Group International, has pledged Dh150 million to the “Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans” initiative. The program was launched by the Endowments and Minors’ Funds Authority – Awqaf Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

The initiative aims to establish a sustainable endowment (waqf) fund dedicated to improving the lives of orphans across the country. By creating long-term financial support, the fund seeks to ensure stability, dignity, and opportunity for orphaned children, while also reinforcing social unity and resilience within the UAE.

Speaking about his contribution, Yusuffali M.A. said the initiative embodies the UAE’s values of generosity and compassion. He noted that the forward-thinking endowment model provides lasting support, helping orphans build strong foundations for their future.

He emphasized that caring for orphans is a shared responsibility and described society as one extended family committed to their wellbeing. Through his donation, he hopes to make a meaningful and lasting difference by supporting orphans’ education, health, and personal development, enabling them to grow with confidence and independence.

Yusuffali M.A. added that investing in children is one of the most important forms of investment and expressed pride in contributing to the UAE’s vision of sustainable philanthropy and inclusive prosperity.
