Dubai: Dubai Police’s Positive Spirit Council showcased its pioneering experience in strengthening community trust and reinforcing the partnership between police and society to participants of the third batch of the Policing Innovation and Leadership (PIL) Diploma, organised by Dubai Police in cooperation with Rabdan Academy, with the participation of officers from international security entities.

The session was attended by Fatima Bohjair, Chairperson of the Positive Spirit Council, and highlighted the Positive Spirit initiative as one of Dubai Police’s key community programmes. The initiative aims to strengthen social cohesion and promote core community values such as tolerance, generosity, and coexistence, while fostering a culture of volunteering and encouraging community members to take part in sports and social activities that enhance quality of life in the Emirate of Dubai.

During the session, Rida Al Rawas, Member of the Positive Spirit Council and International Media Coordinator, presented the initiative’s main features, strategic objectives, and its role in strengthening effective collaboration between the police and the community. He also highlighted several community programmes and initiatives implemented in cooperation with strategic partners, which have contributed to promoting preventive community policing and reinforcing the role of the police as an active community partner.

Fatima Bohjair emphasised that the Positive Spirit initiative represents an advanced and practical model of community engagement, reflecting Dubai Police’s vision of fostering positivity, cooperation, and shared responsibility. She noted that the initiative focuses on empowering community members, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and motivating them to participate in initiatives that strengthen social bonds and support community stability.

The session also provided participating officers in the diploma programme with the opportunity to learn about Dubai Police’s experience in community engagement and modern preventive policing, and to understand the role the Positive Spirit initiative plays in building bridges of trust between the police and society, contributing to the creation of a safe and sustainable environment based on strong community partnership.
