Dubai: The UAE Journalists Association commended the Ministry of Community Empowerment's launch of the AED 100 million "Public Benefit Institutions Empowerment Fund," affirming that this strategic step reflects a national vision to strengthen the role of public benefit institutions and empower them to contribute effectively to supporting society and achieving development goals.

The Association emphasized that the Fund represents a qualitative boost for public benefit institutions, through the flexible financing tools it provides to support various stages of institutional development, contribute to enhancing the sustainability of their operations, and expand the scope of their community initiatives, which will positively impact societal well-being and quality of life.

Dubai, April 17, 2026 Her Excellency Fadila Al-Muaini, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the UAE Journalists Association, expressed her sincere gratitude for the announcement of the launch of the Public Benefit Institutions Empowerment Fund. She extended her deepest thanks to Her Excellency Shamma Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Empowerment, and the Board of Directors, for this initiative, which embodies the vision of the wise leadership in supporting public benefit institutions and enhancing their societal role.

Her Excellency stated that funding both emerging and existing institutions will enable associations to fulfill their obligations and responsibilities more efficiently, develop their programs in line with national priorities, and strengthen their role as key partners in the development process.

She noted that the association regularly organizes events, seminars, and panel discussions, along with cultural and social activities, all aligned with its media mission of raising awareness, particularly in combating misinformation and disinformation.
