Atma Gaurav Diwas 2026 Celebrated with Grandeur at Andhra Bhavan, New Delhi

New Delhi: The Atma Gaurav Diwas 2026 celebration, marking the 103rd Jayanti of Padma Shri Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (N.T. Rama Rao), was held with great enthusiasm and dignity at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Auditorium, Andhra Bhavan, New Delhi, on Thursday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

The event was organized under the guidance and leadership of Dr. S. Adinarayana, Founder and National President of the Adi Leela Foundation, and brought together more than 280 distinguished guests, scholars, social leaders, artists, students, and members of the public.

The program was graced by several eminent personalities, including Dr. N. Satyanarayana, Parliamentary Secretary, TDP Delhi; Dr. Subhash Vedantam, Director General, Ministry of Health, Government of India; Shri Mahavir Ji, Senior Sangh Pracharak; Shri Chandrahasa Appalpalli Nayak, Telugu film actor and director; Shri M. Venugopal, CEO, Coimbatore; Mrs. Shashi Kala Kaushik, former Deputy Director, NDMC; and Shri Sanjay Bhai of Anuvrat and Bihar Welfare Society.

The celebration commenced with a traditional welcome ceremony in which guests and special invitees were greeted with sandalwood tilak, holy prasad mixed with Ganga water, and ceremonial shawls. The inaugural proceedings included Saraswati and Ganesh Vandana, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, creating an atmosphere filled with reverence, pride, and cultural spirit.

A major highlight of the event was a discussion on “National Security and National Unity,” during which eminent scholars and speakers shared their perspectives on strengthening social cohesion and safeguarding national interests. Addressing the gathering, Shri Mahavir Ji delivered an insightful speech on “National Security and Our Collective Contribution,” emphasizing the role of citizens in nation-building and sharing valuable experiences from his public life.

The program also focused on promoting the values of self-respect, individual dignity, and social responsibility, reflecting the ideals associated with Dr. N.T. Rama Rao’s legacy. Cultural performances by children and renowned artists added color and vibrancy to the celebration. In a notable presentation, youth participants from Manipur demonstrated self-defense techniques, particularly aimed at empowering women, girls, and young people.

Several individuals were felicitated for their outstanding achievements and contributions to society and the nation. Students, artists, and representatives from educational institutions were also honored with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their talent and service.

Concluding the event, Dr. S. Adinarayana delivered the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to the chief guests, participants, volunteers, and attendees for their support in making the program a success. The ceremony ended with the National Anthem.

The Atma Gaurav Diwas 2026 celebration was widely regarded as a meaningful and impactful event that successfully highlighted the values of self-respect, national unity, cultural heritage, and social service while commemorating the enduring legacy of Padma Shri Dr. N.T. Rama Rao.
