Sharjah: Lt. General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, attended the Sharjah Police celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, held as part of a comprehensive two-day programme in recognition of the leading role Emirati women play in the security sector and their significant contributions to strengthening security and stability and serving the community.

The event was attended by several director-generals and officers, along with broad participation from female personnel across various departments, reflecting pride in the achievements of Emirati women and their advanced standing across different areas of security work.

Major General Dr Ali Ahmed Al Balzoud, Director-General of the General Department of Human Resources and Support Services, said Emirati women have proven throughout their journey that they are key partners in building the nation and safeguarding its achievements. Their continued successes, he added, reflect the wise vision of the UAE leadership, which has made women’s empowerment a firmly established national approach.

He noted that Sharjah Police places continuous emphasis on its female personnel by providing a supportive and motivating work environment, developing their professional and leadership capabilities, and enabling them to participate actively across various security and policing specialisations. This, he said, strengthens their readiness to keep pace with developments and anticipate future security requirements.

The celebration will continue throughout the month with a series of interactive workshops for female personnel, including “Her and the Future Through Emirati Eyes”, “We Draw the Dream... and Make Reality”, “Life Skills” and “Financial Awareness”. The workshops aim to enhance the skills of female personnel and reinforce their presence and influential role within the security sector.
