Dubai: Dr Major General Ahmad Zaal Bin Krishan Almheiri, Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Financial and Administrative Affairs, visited the Dubai Police stand at Arabian Travel Market 2026 at Dubai World Trade Centre, where he reviewed a range of smart security services and projects designed to enhance the experience of tourists and visitors in Dubai.

He was accompanied by Major General Dr Tariq Tahlak, Assistant Commander in Chief for Community Happiness and Logistics Support; Major General Mohammad Essa Al Adhab, Director of the General Department of Logistics Support; and a number of directors and deputy directors of general departments.

Almheiri said Dubai Police’s participation in Arabian Travel Market reflects its commitment to supporting Dubai’s tourism sector and showcasing the integrated security services that contribute to the emirate’s position as one of the world’s safest and most secure destinations.

Security as Part of the Visitor Experience

Almheiri praised the services and initiatives presented at the stand, which harness advanced technologies and smart solutions to serve residents, visitors and tourists.
He stressed that security is a fundamental part of a successful tourism experience and the sector’s sustainable growth.

Dubai Police, he added, works closely with its partners to provide proactive and seamless services that enhance visitors’ quality of life, enrich their experience in Dubai and make security services easily accessible wherever they are.

Check Circulars and Travel Bans Online

Among the services showcased is Dubai Police’s digital service for checking circulars and travel bans through the Dubai Police smart app and website.
The service allows customers to check their criminal and financial status in most cases without visiting police stations, judicial authorities or entities handling matters such as rental disputes.

Users can identify any circulars or reports registered against them and determine which authority they need to contact if a financial or criminal procedure exists, helping them avoid unexpected situations when planning to travel or complete official transactions.

The service supports Dubai’s digital transformation and the Government of Dubai’s efforts to reduce bureaucracy through proactive and easily accessible services.

Police Eye

Visitors were also introduced to Police Eye, an interactive service that enables members of the public to contribute to community safety by reporting illegal activities and concerning behaviour.

Reports can cover offences, disputes, antisocial behaviour, actions that could lead to confrontations, drug use or dealing, and other conduct that may violate the law.

Through the Dubai Police app, users can submit text or voice messages, videos and photos and identify their location or the location of the reported incident. Dubai Police handles all information received through the service with complete confidentiality.

New Dubai Police Academy

The stand also features a model of the new Dubai Police Academy, one of the strategic projects announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as part of a wider AED 2 billion portfolio of Dubai Police projects.

Located in Al Ruwayyah First, the new Academy will span 155 hectares and accommodate 2,500 students. The project itself is valued at AED 1 billion and is expected to be completed in 2027.

The development comprises four main zones. Its residential area will accommodate 1,200 male and female cadets and recruits, supported by living facilities, rest areas and a daily training ground.

The academic area will include classrooms, colleges, halls, administrative and academic offices, the General Department of Training, a health centre and a theatre accommodating 1,000 people.

A dedicated sports zone will feature 17 sports facilities, including indoor sports and swimming facilities, an Olympic outdoor swimming pool, a football pitch, sports stands, padel, tennis and volleyball courts, and a 26 room residential hotel for sports teams.

The Academy’s main parade ground will accommodate 2,500 spectators, alongside a dedicated police operations training city. The development will also include a 3.5 kilometre cycling and running track.

Tourist Awareness Throughout the Exhibition

Throughout Arabian Travel Market, Dubai Police is also delivering awareness sessions on tourist security to help visitors understand the services and measures available to make their stay safe, comfortable and enjoyable.
The sessions introduce visitors to the concept of tourist security and highlight services including Smart Police Stations, the Lost and Found system, the eCrime platform and the cybercrime.
