Sharjah: The Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) is preparing to launch the 2026 Pink Caravan campaign on October 1st—coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month—through a comprehensive programme featuring free screenings, community initiatives, events, and awareness sessions across the UAE. This effort reflects the association’s commitment to social responsibility and ensuring a high quality of life for all members of society.

This year’s campaign builds on the success of the previous edition, which provided over 19,000 free screenings to 17,458 women and 2,244 men. As part of the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Pink Caravan continues to expand its reach, offering individuals, families, corporations, and various community segments diverse opportunities to contribute to the campaign and engage with its initiatives. Throughout the month, the campaign aims to make breast health screening services accessible to everyone, while fostering a culture of regular check-ups and encouraging individuals to prioritize their health and urge those around them to do the same.

Accessible screenings across the UAE
Throughout October, nine fixed Pink Caravan clinics are welcoming community members at locations across the UAE—including Mushrif Mall in Abu Dhabi; Al Ain Mall and Makani Zakher in Al Ain; City Walk in Dubai; Al Majaz Waterfront and Al Dhaid Mall in Sharjah; Umm Al Quwain Mall; Ras Al Khaimah Mall; and Lulu Mall in Fujairah—ensuring easy access to breast cancer screening services all month long.

Pink Caravan mobile clinics are also traversing the UAE throughout October to bring breast health screening and awareness services to a wider segment of the community. Their tours cover residential complexes, shopping and leisure destinations, universities, and government and private sector workplaces, making early detection services more accessible and convenient. The clinics provide free clinical breast examinations and mammograms, subject to established eligibility criteria.

In addition to their field tours, the Pink Caravan enables companies and educational institutions to book the clinics and organise dedicated health days for employees and students. These events include awareness sessions covering key signs and symptoms, self-examination techniques, and the importance of regular screenings.

Pink Caravan community event returns to Aljada
The Pink Caravan community event returns to Aljada in Sharjah for its third edition, in collaboration with the developer Arada. Running from October 2 to 4, the event takes place daily between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM. It combines health awareness with community activities in a family-friendly atmosphere open to all, offering screening services for both women and men.

Visitors can access free clinical breast examinations and mammograms. Over the three-day period, the event features a diverse program of community activities and awareness workshops, alongside dedicated play areas and entertainment for children.

Extensive collaboration and partnerships to support community health
The campaign is supported by a wide network of partners and sponsors across the UAE. Crescent Petroleum joins the Pink Caravan for 2026 as the campaign’s principal partner. The list of sponsors and supporters includes Arada Developments, Inovo Management, Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC), Sultan bin Ali Al Owais Real Estate, Sharjah Media City (Shams), Al Marwan Group, Habib Bank, Sharjah Old Cars Club, Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA), Zulal Water, Europcar, Sharjah Museums Authority, Makani Real Estate, and Line Investments & Property.

Medical partners supporting the campaign include Advance Care Oncology Center, Zulekha Hospital, University Hospital Sharjah, NMC Royal Hospital Sharjah, and Canadian Hospital; these partners facilitate referrals for individuals requiring further testing following the initial screening.

A call for broad community participation
The Pink Caravan invites all segments of society to play an active role in raising awareness about breast health throughout October. The public can support the campaign by visiting fixed clinics, participating in community events, and encouraging family and friends to prioritize early detection. Organisations and companies can also contribute by hosting a clinic, organising awareness sessions and employee health days, or partnering with the campaign to extend its reach to more workplaces and communities.

Through its nationwide screening programme—complemented by various community events and initiatives—the 2026 Pink Caravan campaign advances the efforts of the Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) to facilitate access to early detection services and encourage more UAE community members to take proactive steps toward safeguarding their health.

The Pink Caravan also invites companies and organisations across the UAE to support the campaign by hosting a mobile clinic at their workplaces or within their communities, thereby helping to bring screening services closer to the public.
