Dubai: Secretary (CPV & OIA) at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Ms. Sripriya Ranganathan, held consultations with members of the Indian community in Dubai on issues concerning blue-collar and women workers.

The consultations were held at the Consulate General of India in Dubai, with community members sharing their experiences, concerns and recommendations relating to labour and welfare matters.

Discussions focused on workers’ awareness of their rights and available support services, access to assistance, and ways to further strengthen existing welfare and support mechanisms.

Community representatives highlighted issues faced by workers and shared their perspectives on improving access to information and assistance. The interaction also provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on measures that could help address labour and welfare-related concerns more effectively.

The consultation underscores the importance of continued engagement with the Indian community and strengthening mechanisms to support the welfare of Indian workers in the UAE.
