Dubai: Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Consul General of India in Dubai, visited the India Jewellery Exposition Centre (IJEX) in Dubai and interacted with Indian exporters and businessmen from the jewellery industry.

During the visit, he met representatives of the Dubai Jewellery Group and the Dubai Business Group for Gold and Designers, discussing opportunities to strengthen trade, expand market access and promote business partnerships between India and the UAE.

Launched by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), IJEX serves as an important platform for Indian micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the jewellery sector to showcase their products and connect with buyers across the UAE and other regional markets.

The centre plays a significant role in supporting Indian jewellery manufacturers and exporters by facilitating business interactions, enhancing market access and creating new commercial opportunities in the Gulf region.

The initiative also contributes to strengthening India-UAE economic relations under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which aims to expand bilateral trade and investment across various sectors.

The visit highlighted the importance of industry collaboration and institutional support in creating new opportunities for Indian jewellery businesses and further deepening commercial ties between India and the UAE.
