Dubai:The Dubai Police has recently concluded a crowd control training programme for officers of the force’s police stations and general departments. Held at Al Royaa Training City in Dubai, the programme was delivered by several security experts from South Africa and the General Department of Protective Security and Emergence at Dubai Police.

According to Expert Brigadier Khalil Obaid Al Bishri, Acting Deputy Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergence at Dubai Police, the course aimed at providing the participants with the necessary skills to deal with crowd control, with a focus on protecting properties, in addition to raising the level of training for members of the Dubai Police. 

The course also included training sessions, which taught participants useful rules about dealing with crowds, scenario planning, control techniques, and different uses of weapons and tools for crowd control police.
