Dubai: His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, attended the graduation ceremony of the second batch of 204 students from Hemaya Schools for the academic year 2023-2024. 

The ceremony was held at the Dubai Police Academy and was attended by assistant commanders-in-chief, directors of general departments, police station managers, and parents.

Al Marri congratulated the Dubai Police employees and their children on their graduation, wishing them success in their lives. He emphasised that Hemaya Schools is one of a series of initiatives adopted by Dubai Police to ensure the happiness of its employees. He reaffirmed the full support of Dubai Police for the development of students at all educational levels, per the vision of the wise leadership, which is based on investing in people and creating a positive and happy work environment for them, which contributes to enhancing the spirit of initiative and creativity.

Al Marri explained that the graduation of this group of Hemaya Schools students is a source of pride for the leadership, given the educational gains it has achieved for the children of its employees, easing the burden on police personnel, promoting the principle of belonging and institutional cooperation, and enhancing employee happiness and job satisfaction.

Supporting Employees
Dr. Brigadier Sultan Al Jamal, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Academic and Training Affairs, explained that Hemaya Schools were established in 2018 to support military and civilian employees of Dubai Police and to alleviate the burden on them. He pointed out that the leadership of Dubai Police has been keen to harness many of its capabilities to support Hemaya Schools by enhancing integration with all sectors, which contributed to making the educational knowledge and skills acquired by students an added value for this generation, in addition to partnerships with various entities in the education sector, to make Hemaya Schools a leader in preparing a generation armed with science, knowledge, and various skills.

Raising the Bar 
Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Director of the Hemaya Schools Office, said that Hemaya Schools at various levels had worked hard to improve the education system, with the support and follow-up of His Excellency, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police. This has contributed to the schools' achieving many achievements, both at the individual student level and at the school level.

Al Suwaidi added: "Since 2018, Hemaya Schools has been able to attract a group of male and female teachers, administrative and supervisory staff, who were carefully selected to build a generation capable of acquiring many educational and cognitive skills, as well as aspects related to participation in events, community and volunteer roles, as What distinguishes Hemaya students is that special programs have been allocated to involve students in various major events and events, various initiatives and activities organised by Dubai Police, in addition to summer activities.

Proud Graduates 

In her address, graduate Shaima Harb expressed pride in graduating from Dubai Police, a prestigious institution that contributes to the UAE's civilised image. She emphasised the ongoing education story in the UAE, especially in Dubai, under its wise leadership. She mentioned His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's recent congratulations to the graduates, where he highlighted the importance of education in building the nation's future and workforce. Harb also thanked Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri for his outstanding support to Hemaya Schools students and teachers.

At the end of the ceremony, Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri honoured the external partners, namely the Emirates Red Crescent Authority - Dubai Center, Carplate Technical Services, Varasto Events, and Map Media Art Production, in addition to the internal partners, namely the Esaad Card Centre, the People of Determination Empowerment Council, and the Positive Spirit Council. , the Athletes Council, and the Innovation Council; in addition to honouring the supporters of the ceremony, he also honoured the administrative and educational body in Hemaya Schools.
