Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated, praised the significant role and outstanding efforts of the UAE Journalists Association in developing journalism and media work in the country. He also praised the Association's commitment to developing national media professionals and honing their skills, enabling them to fulfill their noble mission of serving the nation.

This came during His Highness's reception at his palace in Dubai of a delegation from the UAE Journalists Association, headed by Fadhila Al Muaini, Chairman of the Association's Board of Directors, and attended by Hassan Omran Al Shamsi, Halima Al Mulla, Dr. Fatima Al Ward Al Darmaki, Reem Al Braiki, Omar Al Saeedi, and Mohammed Junaid Al Ameri, members of the Association's Board of Directors.

His Highness Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum emphasized the vital role media plays in instilling positive values ​​in society. Media influences public awareness, contributes to socialization, and guides individual and collective behavior through the content they provide. His Highness explained that various media outlets can promote values ​​such as tolerance, cooperation, responsibility, and national belonging, and can also contribute to combating negative and destructive behaviors.

During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on the association's initiatives, efforts, and achievements at the regional and international levels, as well as its progress in serving the national media. He wished the association and its members every success, and hoped this would contribute to enhancing journalistic work and supporting national cadres in light of the accelerating digital transformation.

For her part, Fadhila Al Muaini, Chairperson of the Association's Board of Directors, expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum for the warm welcome and hospitality, and for his continued support for all members of the press community. She affirmed that the Association will continue its role in all that contributes to advancing the national media and reflecting the cultural and developmental progress witnessed by the country, within a framework that adheres to and preserves authentic journalistic values ​​and the principles of objectivity and professionalism.

She said that the association is working according to an ambitious strategy for the period 2025-2028, which aims to provide a stimulating environment for journalists, media professionals, and media students, and to hone their professional and cognitive skills through the Media Creativity Center. She pointed out that the association also supervises the implementation of advanced programs in the fields of training, journalistic editing, photography and videography, podcast production, and design, using digital media tools and technologies, which contributes to achieving the state's aspirations for an influential national media that is committed to the values ​​and charters of the profession.

Fadhila Al Muaini pointed out that the association's role is not limited to the media aspect alone, but extends to creating a tangible societal impact through strategic partnerships with government and private entities. These partnerships align with the UAE's national initiatives and contribute to supporting community development priorities and instilling humane and positive values ​​in media discourse.
