Ras Al Khaimah: The much-anticipated Wynn Integrated Resort at Marjan Island is progressing on schedule, with completion expected in 2027, according to a senior official.

“We are committed to delivering the resort by 2027, and everything is on track,” said Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Marjan, in an interview with Khaleej Times. “If you visit the site, you’ll see major construction activity underway. March 2027 is coming up quickly.”

A collaboration between US-based Wynn Resorts, Marjan, and RAK Hospitality Holding, the 70-storey Wynn Al Marjan has already reached its 61st floor as of August 2025. In 2024, Wynn Resorts was awarded the UAE’s first commercial gaming operator license, making this development the first integrated gaming resort in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Abdouli highlighted the project’s significance for Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism and economy. “This is one of the UAE’s largest and most anticipated projects. It will bring 1,542 hotel rooms and suites, more than 22 dining and lounge concepts, and attract a surge in visitors to the emirate,” he said. “Beyond the resort itself, the project will stimulate demand for residential units, apartments, and new businesses, becoming an essential driver of Ras Al Khaimah’s economy.”

Recruitment has already begun, with 78 vacancies posted as of September 21. Wynn had previously announced onboarding 80 employees in April and aims to reach 300 staff members by the end of this year.

The $3.9-billion Wynn Al Marjan will span its own island of over 60 hectares extending into the Arabian Gulf. Once completed, it will be the region’s first integrated gaming resort.

According to Wynn Resorts CEO Craig Billings, the UAE’s gaming market could eventually generate up to $5 billion annually. While the resort’s gaming facilities are drawing strong attention, its extensive non-gaming attractions will also be a major highlight for visitors.
